We can't live long without air or water ...

Bible verses for water.

The first three things created – light, water, air are all essential to our health. "And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that [it was] good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which [were] under the firmament from the waters which [were] above the firmament: and it was so." Genesis 1:3-7, KJV. "And [he shall be] as the light of the morning, [when] the sun riseth, [even] a morning without clouds; [as] the tender grass [springing] out of the earth by clear shining after rain." 2 Samuel 23:4, KJV. Used here as an expression of refreshment we know water and sunlight are vital to good health both physically and emotionally. Sunshine provides serotonin which our brains need for good mental outlook and happy thoughts. "Truly the light [is] sweet, and a pleasant [thing it is] for the eyes to behold the sun:" Ecclesiastes 11:7, KJV.

Obvious we need water to survive: "And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink. And God was with the lad; and he grew, and dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer." Genesis 21:19-20, KJV. Here Hagar is in the dessert with her son Ishmael and God provides water for them. "Who led thee through that great and terrible wilderness, [wherein were] fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where [there was] no water; who brought thee forth water out of the rock of flint;" Deuteronomy 8:15, KJV. God provided only water for the children of Israel to drink (not juice, milk, wine, etc.), it is the ideal liquid for hydration.

We need good water. "When they came to the oasis of Marah, the water was too bitter to drink. So they called the place Marah (which means "bitter").Exodus 15:23 "So Moses cried out to the Lord for help, and the Lord showed him a piece of wood. Moses threw it into the water, and this made the water good to drink. It was there at Marah that the Lord set before them the following decree as a standard to test their faithfulness to him." Exodus 15:25. You can filter water that is not safe to drink: " And all the Egyptians digged round about the river for water to drink; for they could not drink of the water of the river." Genesis 7:24, KJV. Survivalists know that if you are near a water source that is polluted you can often filter that water by digging 'near' the source and letting it seep through the ground which acts as a filter. You don't have to use dirt. Charcoal filters are an excellent option for getting clean water from impure sources. Keep in mind you need to follow the directions on the filter. Some filters will not filter out viruses and micro parasites.

Promise of water. "You must serve only the Lord your God. If you do, I* will bless you with food and water, and I will protect you from illness."Exodus 23:25. "Water will flow from their buckets; their offspring have all they need. Their king will be greater than Agag; their kingdom will be exalted." Numbers 24:7. "For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land of flowing streams and pools of water, with fountains and springs that gush out in the valleys and hills." Deuteronomy 8:7.

Using water externally. "They must wash with water whenever they go into the Tabernacle to appear before the Lord and when they approach the altar to burn up their special gifts to the Lord-or they will die!" Exodus 30:20. "If a clay pot is used to boil the sacrificial meat, it must then be broken. If a bronze pot is used, it must be scoured and thoroughly rinsed with water." Leviticus 6:28. We know washing hands helps prevent colds and flus, but it also can reduce toxins and other germs from skin absorption.

Well water has been used since Bible times. " Moses said this about the tribes of Joseph: "May their land be blessed by the Lord with the precious gift of dew from the heavens and water from beneath the earth;" Deuteronomy 33:13.
